Default Oxygen Sensors

Are the Bosch OE style oxygen sensors good to use? Which size wiring 8.5" or 16.5" long, and are they a direct replacement ie...no wires to cut or splice?

Good luck getting an answer on this. I posted a similar question for my 00 V6 in the V6 subforum. Only got one response and the guy thought I was talking about Bosch Universals.

I've got 4 O2 sensors I need to replace. How many do you have?

You don't need a whole bunch of specs to get new 02 sensors! Go to your local auto parts store and tell them, I need two O2 sensors for my 19XX 5.0 mustang. They'll run you about $80.00 for the pair.

I have them, they were a direct replacement, just ask the parts guy for the correct ones

That's easy for you guys with only two that are probably the same OEM number to begin with.

With me though do you know why I have 3 different OEM part numbers for my 4 O2 sensors? (One part number for the two upstream, then one for downstream left, and one for downstream right) What's the Difference!?! That's what noone seems to be able to answer.

I'm not going to replace all four with one part number just because Bosch says so. Ford put three different numbers for a reason. Anyone know the reason? That was my question.

I think the 16.5' ones might be for long tube headers...

16.5's are for downstream your 8.5's are for up stream hense location of o2's in exhaust.
