Default Clutch Problems Help PLEASE!!!

Ok today My car was driving fine. Intil I was on the entrance of a freeway and I punched it and throw it in to first and then second was ok then I tried to put it into 3rd and it wouldn't go at all. So I tried to put it in to 4th and it wouldn't go so I tried again and it grinded in. Then I down shifted and it went in the gear like nothing was wrong. Ok so got off the freeway and im at a stop sign and I put the car in neutral as I slow down . I went to put it in first and it was like i wasn't even pushing down on the clutch it was so hard for me to put in it first then 2nd was hard as well the other gears were ok . This happened to me before and it was the clutch cable had broken . I thought it was so i checked the cable its fine . My clutch didn't feel like its was slugish or anything either so don't think its that but could be wrong . I got the clutch a year ago . Iono wat else could it besides those two things. Could anybody Help?
