solid motor mounts??

is ther anything wrong with using solid motor mounts?or should i use the original ones

If you've got problems with breakin the stock rubber ones then solids might be the best choice. If your not makin huge power then I guess they will hold up. Mine are stock, and still working [:@] Will switch over to solids if the motor ever comes out again

using solids on a car that probably doesn't have subframes is going to twist your frame like a pretzel for a DD and make it very uncomfortable under moderate/heavy acceleration. Unless you've got a serious load of power or are making a track-only car. I would advise against it.

Try polyurethane mounts instead of rubber

If your into a couple hundred horsepower vibrator, go for it... who are we to judge what your vibrator needs should be... [:-]

I use solids as well. Vibration really isn't that bad. If you had a cam with 250 duration at .050 sure your car is going to shake like crazy but it would shake pretty bad with rubber mounts too.

as long as you retain the tranny mount as a rubber or poly(no solid here)...you'd be fine
