either you didnt know how to drive or there was something seriously wrong with your GT thats quite sad
i can drive, and there was nothing wrong with it, other than the fact it was a piece of **** from the factory.

i have two 95s a GT and Cobra, they aint slow, tires will break loose in 3rd gear no problem its realitivly stock with the common bolt ons. ive owned 23 mustangs to date, and these i loved the most and have kept the longest. they get up past 100 in no time in 4th gear no where near redline and keeps pulling. The torque is what moves the car and with close to 300 stock it does just fine. the only draw back i could see is the rear end gear. most are 2.73 you couldve ordered a 3.08. but regardless i put in 3.73s and that took care of any lack at the bottom end.the new modulars are running 3.55 in the stock cobras and 3.08 or 3.27s in the GTs? So i can see why some people who own the newer modulars could say that 94 95 are a hair bit slower stock than thier modulars stock.

I can say too that my 95s are slow, when compairing them to my 03 cobra thats dumping out 461 hp, but something like that you cant compair.

Its all about personal preferance. I love the 95s
but i very very rarely see 94 -95 GTs black on black with the 17inchers and that are 5 speeds i was at two stang shows this last week and i didnt see one duplicate of my 95s, ive seen many of the same 96- 98s but here where i am 94-95 are very rare.
Yeah, I hear mine is rare too.

I too was in the same position as you. I wanted a 5.0 for the aftermarket products but preferred the new body. Don't pay any attention to the those are slow comments. The 94-95 was rated at 215 hp down from most Fox bodies of 225 hp. Really not much a difference in practical terms. One of the biggest things as mentioned above was the gearing was really crappy. Throw some 3.73 in and you're in a very different car. You also have endless add ons, a good portion of the add ons for the Fox bodies can be used on the SN95's. Others you'll pay a small premium for the parts but compared what you'd pay for the same part for any other car you are making out big time. You don't appreciate the availability and affordability of parts for mustangs unless you've tried to do the same work on virtually any other car.
You know what you want don't get turned off because it made10 less horsepower than the years before. Only real concern is the computers on the SN95, not so forgiving as the fox bodies, but easy to swap out.

Dude if the price is right and you like it get it!! Its a Mustang for pete sakes!! If 10 hp is that big of a deal!!! Then you need to buy a 04 Cobra dude cause nothing gonna make u happy. Just get it and ignore peoples remarks about a 10Hp.. If you want a drag car then build one if you want a Mustang that looks nice that you like then get the body style you like.

Talk about heavy... My car is a convertible, full options GT. Granted I'm doing heads/cam/intake/headers/rr in a weeks time in prep for a turbo in the near future, but its not that slow now after gears, suspension, cat-back, bullet brakes and a bit of advance to the timing. BUt hey gotta spend your money somewhere right?[:@]
