hello evryone. i was running codes today and i pulled #85 KOEO
fordfuelinjection says that it is a canister purge solenoid circuit failure.
what exactly is that? any help is appreciated.

 

i also did a KOER and pulled
#21 - ECT out of test range(0.3-3.7 volts) WIch means Electronic Code Test
but it still pulled @94 & #44
Thermactor air injection system inoperative (LEft and Right side respectivly)

can some one tell me if the thermactor is a problem or not and if the #21 code means the #'s 94 &44 are false

ok after some forced research iv come across info saying that the thermactor stuff is jast a fancy name for the smog pump. well mine is disconected so thats why. and i still dont know where the canister purge is ....... jump in at any time.

 

Just a guess but wouldn't it be the soleniod on top of the charcoal canister?

 

The canister purge solenoid (CANP) is something like.......



ECT = Engine Coolant Temperature sensor...a code 21 gets logged if you run the KOER self-test if the engine temp is below 180° when the test is run. To confirm it is a "false" code, make sure the engine is above that temp and rerun the KOER.
