Default is there a big difference between 65mm TB AND 70MM TB

i have my car at the tuning shop and he said i should of put a 65mm tb instead of a 70mm . he also said the 70mm is harder to tune the car with and i have all these things done to the are and the car has been at the shop for a week . is it that are to tune a 94 model. he is burning a chip for me . the chip is a superchip .

i bought a 302 bored over.040 to a 308 9.8:1 it has :
all forged interenals piston, i beams, rods.

- heads specs -

trick flow twisted wedged heads #51400002

61 cc combustion chamber

2.02 intake valve

1.60 exhaust valve

high rate valve spring 7,degrees lock manganese broze guides.

trick flow 1.6 roller rockers

--cam specs --

brand new trick flow track heat cam # 51402000

lift : 499 in intake / .510 in exhaust

duration : 275 intake / 2.79 exhaust

lobe separation : 112 degress

--add on to the engine--

cobra upper and lower intake manifold

bbk long tube headers

70mm throttle body edelbrock

75mm mass air pro-m

30lb injectors calibratred

255 fuel pump

bbk fuel pressure regualtor

i cant get it running right it has bad idle the air /fuel mixture is off and it dies out when coming to a stop .

your TB should be the same size as the inlet to your intake manifold in theory otherwise you create resistance, as far as tunign goes i have no idea... sorry

Sounds like your tuner doesnt know what hes doing and hes taking it out on a 75mm throttle body. I MIGHT of believed he knew what he was talking about if he said the 30lb injectors were a little big. If hes programming the chip that combo sounds ok although i dont see why you would need a chip with that combo.

There is no way that with your set up that engine should be running lean naturally aspirated. You have 30lb injectors on a 308 for god sakes and a 255lph fuel pump with afp regulator. Your tuner should know to check fuel presuure and air fuel ratios when tuning a car properly. Make sure your timing is ok, and check those other 2 things i mentioned.

You'll get ALOT better throttle response and driveability with a 65mm TB!

70mm and 30lb injectors are a bit to big IMHO.
