on my 83 i have somethin similar but i only have one extra plug. mine are for the duraspark ignition. they changes it up a little over the years but the plugs are still there. some of the boxes use 1,2, or all 3 of the plugs. it may not be it but thats a possibility because i know those years have TFI ignition setup. is it giving you problems or you just curious?? go to autozone.com and go to repair info on the left and you can pull up information on this. just like having the repair manual in hand... well almost.

the plug casings are actually broke .all that is there is a peice of rubber that inserts into plug(dust cover or seal) the one plug with 3 wires i think is the dash wires for oil gauge, engine temp and ign switch ,connects to body harness. the other im not sure could be for cruise control or vss.with out knowing what its actually for is holding me back of fear of burning something up or get into in issue of no start problems.

leave those connectors alone, if you really want to fix it , go to a junk yard and get a connector off any ford 1987 and up to 1995.

Ford tempo, for taurus etc , those are your diagnotics connectors, and can never lead you to any trouble , the cover protects if from moisture, but i used dielectirc grease and its been fine for years.

follow them back to their source. I see nothing that indicates where they came from, id tape em up and leave them. My car has a few of them here and there, and so hae several 5.0's ive seen , but if the schematics dont show, dont worry.
