What's the consensus on Canfield heads vs. AFR?

I was thinking AFR 165's, but got a plug for the Canfields in a thread last night. I heard Jay at Camshaft Innovations is a fan, but don't know if that's accurate.

I'm going to him for heads/cam and am looking for something for idle to 5,500 or 5,000 RPM's, which I don't know if it will impact what he recommends, but I figured I'd mention it.

yes Canfields out flow AFR's, but they are a little bigger so they should.

Canfield 170 vs AFR 165
Canfield 190 vs AFR 185 .... ect..

Check this out....

http://www.allfordmustangs.com/Detailed/630.shtml

Im not sure how many different heads Canfield makes but on this calculator theres only one option... and it outflows 165's by ALOT and 185's by a decent amount also.... Canfiel kills both AFR's in top end exhaust numbers...

both heads are great, but 5cc can make or break your decision...both have outstanding qaulity marks, and yes jay is a fan hense the marketing outcome....contacts with canfield make things alot easier with getting info.
