Default Computer problem

Took my 89 5.0 to the shop to see if it was throwing any codes. They hooked it up and nothing.....they tried two different systems and still no response from my computer, as if it was not there. I bought the car recently and was runnig down the idle problem. Any ideas why my computer is not being recognized?

Possibilities:

- Bad ECM
- SIGRTN wire open
- Wiring problem (STO circuit)

You might want to check the problem description and how to check for a "No Codes" condition at http://fordfuelinjection.com/index.php?p=44 ....the results of the tests will give you the information to ID what's at fault. My 2ยข.

Do I have to match the same year, or can I use any 5.0 Fox?
