Default Fuel Pump

Hi everyone !

I have replaced a fuel pump on my mus. I't 95 GT. I'd like to know the level of atmosphere pressure coming from the fuel pump. I heard that 6 is enough.

Thanks!

atmospheric pressure? Do you mean pump pressure? if so 6 is good for carb applications, for fuel injection you will need anywhere between 25-50. Unless you have converted to carb 6 psi is not enough

Yes, I mean pump pressure. I wrote atmosphere pressure because here most people call it like that way. Anyway, I don't really understand what is carb application? Carburator? In my car, there's a fuel injection system, which I think will just blow up if there will be 25-50 level as you mentioned. I have asked several people in the shop where I bought this pump and they told me that there are maximum 12-15 levels of pressure.

Bro i dont know what planet your getting that language from but in a injected car like yours you need approx. 38psi of fuel pressure. psi is pounds per squaree inch. Dont take your car to that shop because i dont think they ever seen a injected car before.

Here is a psi conversion table. You should be able to convert over to your method of pressure.

1) Take a look at your own language and try to find less mistakes.
2) If you are so clever give me a link with detailed information about mustang fuel pumps and pressure level standarts.
3) It's not really necessary for guy who is selling parts in the shop to know about galaxy formation. He's just selling the parts.

lets not get all hasty now. there are alot of people on this forum that have no clue what a bar is... however i understand that its 14.7psi... so to answer your question, stock, your car should be running about ~2.55 - ~2.6 bar fuel pressure, or ~39 psi (pounds per square inch)
