RE: Headers?
I really dont have the slightest clue which ones do what to the car!?
what would be my best choice for add HP and making he car Louder and Deeper.
FYI... I'm going with MAC Exhaust, MAC Catted H-Pipes, and probly BBK Headers. <--- just need to know what length to get.

RE: Headers?
First off no matter what go ceramic. Well shorties are or aren't equal length, equal length is better flow. Longtubes are large diameter pipes, 1 5/8in (ex) that extend down to underneath of the car into a large dia collector 2.5in maybe or 3.0in. (like mine)
I hear that people still have installation hangups w/ shorties but in general it's pretty smooth. Longtubes can be trouble and I hear people still that claim they're not much tougher than shorties they've tried.
My car is an 83 GT and I got some Flowtech longtube ceramic coated jobbers. they looked pretty sharp (but I have not run them yet) and I was hoping it would not be too difficult. What I had to do:
1. Jack up the engine from the oilpan (Not before taking of motor mnts)
2. Take the starter off. (Mine was aftermarket and was a big hassle cause it was bigger.)
3 Drop the steering column from the car. (I'm sure it was fun and I have my friends Corey, Dan, and Cody to thank for all this cause I was at home studying)
With it all bolted up my starter will not be accessable w/o jacking the engine up and then removing header first.
LTs about 5-10 hp genarally over Compared to comparable nice quality aftermarket shorties. Respectively.
The big adv of longtubes is on a high horse power car which may see large gains at certain rpm.
Supposedly not that great for a near stock car though.

RE: Headers?
LTs will give you a bigger sound and with an H pipe it would make it sound more like a muscle car. An X would give you a RIPPIER sound more like maybe a european sportscar sound.
If your car is fairly stock longtubes will hurt your low end torque.
They look sooo cool though and nobody has em. Be a badass man get em.
