It depends on your alternator and what other things you have sucking down the life of the battery. I have a 95 GT which has a bigger alternator, so it wasn't a problem for me. Although sometimes I would run into a problem at idle. But then again, that was when it was raining at night and I had my stereo on... wipers, headlights, fan on to keep windows from fogging up, and a 1000 watt subwoofer, LoL.

I wouldnt get the bbk ones, they are WAY over priced, they all do the same thing....Check out ebay for good deals, i'm sure you can get them for under 50 bones.

I got the MAC ones, they fit great and have worked fine now since February, they were $60 for all 3 of them. If you don't want to have charging issues just don't install the alt. pulley, plus it's a pain in the *** to install anyways.

I have bbk ones and still have my stock alternator. I don't have any problems. It has never stalled out on me. some people have troubles and some don't...i say go ahead and put them on and if you do run into charge trouble you can take them off or put a bigger alt in. Not a big deal either way.

I want to add to this, because I'm a little confused too. I was worried about the same thing, and I will probably just get a larger alternator. However, what do you guys imply by "larger"? More amperage? If so, how many amps in a stock unit, and how many should I be shooting for? I always see alternators for sale, but never know if the amperage is right.

Thanks
