Default cheap performance?

What are some really cheap, or even free things that i can do to make my car faster? Keep in mind this is my dd and i am only 16. Removing my spare tire my dad would kill me. My back seat, well my gf wouldn't like that too much haha

sorry guys, did kinda forget about the car. its an 88lx with only a bbk intake. It sucks to admit, but i read about timing, and i still don't know what to do. i understand what it is doing, but i don't know how to bump it up even after reading the posts on it

Study up on the timming......It's worth it but not really free cause you have to buy a higher octane gas when you fill up, bu to me it's worth it.
Free? that's about the only thing you can do for free besides taking the air silencer off, but you said that you have a BBK CAI. Right?
Next to free that gains big? Headers, exhaust, and gears. Yep, you'll enjoy that. Good luck

For starters you can drain your windshield washer fluid and blinker fluid followed up by ripping the underhood liner out along with your floor mats. And while your at it you mine aswell grease your muffler bearings. This Should be good for at least 12 ponies. Also if your gonna race for pinks id recommend leaving your fat gf home= -15 hp instantly. Any other questions let me know im a serious 32 yr old master mechanic and love to turn wrenches
