1985 CFI
I'm about to purchase a 1985 Mustang GT and would like information about the 5.0L CFI HO V8. If you guys could share some wisdom/knowledge, or direct me to some articles regarding the engine, I would be much appreciated. Thanks.

RE: 1985 CFI
Thanks for the reply.
Why should I convert it to carb? And is it a complicated / costly endeavor? I'd like to know, from a technical standpoint, because I do plan to build it up. This will be my first sports car (first V8, and even first RWD car), so I'm trying to get as educated as possible. I don't want to get into algebra without knowing 2+2, if you know what I mean.

RE: 1985 CFI
I forgot to mention that the car is an automatic. In 1985 the 5.0L 4V HO V8 was only offered with manual transmission. With that said, is it still possible to switch to carb if my transmission is automatic? (I will likely be sticking with automatic for several reasons.)
