Your clutch is not releasing enough. If you don't have an aluminum quadrant and adjustable cable get it.

^ I had the same question I have the plastic adjustable quadrant and I have a brand new clutch cable in and i have to push my pedal to the floor to get it to not grind into gears. I dont have any slipping in my gears so I dont think my clutch is going and was thinking of just putting an adjustable clutch cable and aluminum quadrant in but wasnt too sure if it was easy to install myself or if I should get someone to do it for me.

I have the Steeda 3 piece kit (adjustable cable, firewall adjuster, and aluminum quadrant) in both of my cars. The kit comes with directions that are simple to follow.
The easiest way to change the quadrant is to remove the drivers seat and lay under the dash. The quadrant is above the gas pedal. Remember how you removed the old cable so you know how to route the new one.
