alright, i just tried to start my car and guess what? it dosent turn over

when i turn the key to on it makes a loud grinding sound right infront of me. the sound is kinda like a machine gun going off, its quick and repetitive.

could this be the starter solenoid?

battery has 12 volts on tap?

12.6 on battery terminals, and to the solenoid.

you next can try crossing the termenals on it to see if it starts

i had that problem yesterday, i charged the battery and it starts fine now, the sound is like running a stick along a fence kinda sound? Its comes from the solenoid,

check volts while cranking i bet the battery is bad, it can show 12v until loaded.

alright, new problem... i cleaned all the battery terminals and now when i go to start it the + terminal starts to fizz, like... **** i duno its welding to the terminal?

yeh, my battery is about 12 years old, it holds a charge for about 3 days, lol. I guess im takin a trip to autozone too huh?

wow dude your battery should be toast completely i dont know how it still can take a charge at all
