undrdrive pulleys were the first mod i installed on my car.... they were also the first to be uninstalled to b/c at idle my car wasnt producing any voltage from the alternator. it slows down your accessories which is not really a good thing. try to find some light weight/same size pulleys instead

They're worth getting, but you've got to get the complete kit which includes the crank pulley, the water pump pulley, and most importantly, the alternator pulley. I don't think we sell 5.0L pullies, but I know http://www.brothersperformance.com/ sells them for a great price. I have teh BBK U/D pulleys from brothers and they work 100% fine. Although I do have a big stereo system, so if I'm sitting in the parking lot enjoying my lunch listening to the stereo I have to have the car running and then I have to hit the gas every now and then to keep the charge up, but on a stock car you'll be 100% fine.

Youll need to upgrade to a 3G 130 amp alternator if you want to use the alternator pulley. Otherwise your lights will dim at idle.

My battery gauge dropped down to between the A and L of NORMAL with the stock 75 amp alternator. Now its right where it should be with the 130 amp one.

Depending on what slo5.0 car year is it might not be a problem from like 94 on up ......Black95MustangGT it shouldn't be a problem unless you run a high tech stero and amp system in your stang sucking up all those volts and power running to much at once either that or you might have a bad battery or alt..I never had a problem with my car charging system and we have the same year.......
