RE: Bolt On Radiator Support

I know there are two welding locations on the top of the inner fender (where the top fender bolts are). Im not sure if the fenders cover that area or not when they are on. I will have to check tomorow. Im not sure where the botom welding spots are though. I can go out and check on my 88 GT sometime tomorrow and check.

Definitely weld it in. I only say that as its a structural member of the car. What if you hit something? The front of the car will no longer absorb the impact properly nor 'fold up' as intended.

If i remember correctly the holes for the 2 impact absorbers (2 round things at each frame rail) have welds around them. The inner fender aprons have welds along the front edges. Thats how mine is anyway. My rad support needed replaced the other year along with one of the aprons. Its a good idea to have a list of measurements so you know its in properly or nothing will line up otherwise youll just need a frame shop anyway to fix it which is probably a couple hundred bucks.

When youre working a frame, its gotta be just right.

I have pics of my stang taken apart but i dont remember where i put them, sorry.

Does this place have a spell checker anywhere? Im terrible tonight.

Does anyone know if you can weld the radiator support while the front end is on the car? Asking because I would like to bolt it on just temporarily, put the front end on and than when its ready to drive (long time from now) I can have someone weld it up for me. Does anyone know? Thanks.
