The gap determines the length of the spark. Longer spark ='s better fuel burning in the cylinder when firing. If the car is running ok and the engine is stock, 5 or 10 thousanths of an inch won't be a great deal.

wh yare you pissed at him??? he told you that accel are good plugs which they are.. are they the best? prolly ont.... he said they were pregapped to .045 which they where so he was right, did he ever say that the gap on the plug for your car should be .045??? no (well not that you mentioned) a pregap is a general setting not a gap for a specific application... and no that difference won't hurt anything. the only reason i can see that you have to be pissed at the guy is for not telling you that the gap for you plugs should of been .054

why not just some autolites? if you have crappy wires I don't care if the plugs cost 50 bux a piece it won't help.....so with those wires is may help you cause.....adding a MSD or a Mallory will help a ton!!!

Just my $.02 worth but I really like the NGK iridium plugs. There about $7.00 to $8.00 a plug but in my opinion well worth it

wow 7-8 bucks a plug i do all my plugs for that... and iridium just helps them last longer under normal driving, they don't do any performance that i know of, i change my plugs every 10k or so anyway so for me iridium would be a waist
