GEARS
4.10 for everything, unless you have a blower .25 mpg will not save you any money unless your a welfare recipient. if it's gonna make that much of a diff, sell the 5.0 and buy a escort.
a '95 all stock w/ 4.10's , 5-speed , and sticky tires will go hi 13's if you can drive. but could range from 13.80-14.20's (or 15's if you plan on driving on street tires at the strip)
1st gear is good to about 20 mph, assuming your shiftpoint is 5200 rpm or w/ normal driving you'll be shifting about the middle of the road you just crossed from the stoplight.
you'll turn about 3000 rpm's at 80 mph
at 80 mph you'll turn about 2750 w/ 3.73's
at 80 mph you'll turn about 2500 w/ 3.55's
you can expect to ADD a tenth to your et for every gearset that you get below 4.10's (a tenth slower w/ 3.73's and 2 tenths slower w/ 3.55's)
going from 2.73 to 4.10 will CUT a full second off your ET (if you hook)
my current car gets 21.25 mpg w/ the ac running and keeping it around 75 mph on the freeway (all tank on the freeway except the 4 miles RT on my commute to and from the freeway) w/ 4.10's
