Ok this is what I have....a 88 gt 5spd convertable.... I parked it for the winter to get painted and do some MUCH needed suspension work. When I first got this car it felt tight as ****... Its all over the place now... It really feels as if the front sway bar is disconected although its not lol. NOW.....let me tell you what I want to do to the car.... I want it to handle good and have pretty good launch traction... I have already ordered a set of u/l rear control arms off ebay...I am also going to reinforce the torque boxes while I am there. I am goin to get new sway bar bushings and polly links. NOW as for the struts... what ratio Strut do I want??? I have no clue.... and rear shocks??? I DO NOT want to lower this car but really think I could use a set of rear springs since it looks as if it is saggin in the rear.. I know I wont be able to use the quad shocks. I am goin with some M/T DRs on the back. And I really like to atleast get the rear height even with the front instead of sagging. I ALSO need to get some sub frame connectors... What company to use??? SO basicly I need some opinions on what shocks/struts, if I need new springs and what kind, and what subframe connectors. I know it is hard to mix handling and straight line traction... I just want a little of both worlds.. Its not a car I race just something I want to enjoy driving.

Basically, you want a nice street/strip car. So you will need adjustability. I am going to be running Strange 10 ways all around and it should do pretty well as a street car and adjust the settings when I go to the track. It literally takes 10 seconds to change both. There is no such thing as a good handling car and a good track car, its either or. The best you can do is go with some kind of adjustable suspension setup.

Also, for subframe connectors there are a few companies you can go with and are all pretty much the same. I am running MM subframes. Also, for the quads it doesnt matter you can ditch them. If you are running an aftermarket set of control arms you will be fine. What brand did you end up getting anyway?

 

basicly I THINK they are the same as the ones that summit racing sells.. ATLEAST they look that way.. The ebay specials lol..
