Eibach springs
anyone have the Eibach Sportline Springs kit(1.5"-2"drop) or the Eibach pro kit(1"-1.25" drop) for their mustang? I'm probably going to get one of these kits, but i don't know how low i should drop the car. Does anyone have pics of their stang with either one of these springs? Or any suggestions on how low i should go....is dropping the only 1" noticable? Thanks
Yes, even a 1" drop is noticable. I got motorsport springs, but theyre basically the same. Heres how you should guage how low you should go. Do you go over speed bumps? Does it scrape now? how about steep driveways? All of these things can pose a problem when lowering a car. On average replace my H-pipe every 2 years, it scrapes on EVERY speed bump, no matter how small. I also scrape my mufflers from time to time when I hit a dip in the road at speed. But on the + side, high speed maneuverability is increased 1000000000x. I had a guy cut me off when I was goin 110, I quickly jotted over to the next lane, with out even so much as a flinch. My car feels VERY stable, I even raced a 911 carrera turbo on a very curvy road, the guy was VERY suprised when he noticed I was on his *** like flies on ****.

wow, all that by dropping it only an inch? My car is 100% stock. It never scrapes over speed bumps or when going down my driveway. What kind of mustang do you have-GT LX? Do you have before and after pics? thanks alot for the help.
Yeah, I "modified" the springs. It didnt sit low enough for my taste
. As for pics, sorry I dont post my pics up of my car. Dont want it gettin broken into, Ive had a couple of stereo systems stolen out of it. That and I dont want the regulars here tellin me it looks like a dope dealers car [:@]. Anyway, remember any time you lower a car its going to have a harsher ride. The more you lower it the firmer the springs will be. My car rides SUPER stiff, itll damn near rattle your teeth loose, but then again thats the trade off for handling.

I have the 1 1/4" drop springs on my "86 Capri and I just posted a pic of it on the "Just joined... first post" thread. It is really stable for high speed lane changes. I highly recommend them.
