Summit Rear Control arms ...unbelieveable difference
A month ago I bought a ZEX nitrous kit for my 95 vert. The only mods I have done are 3:73 gears, undive pulleys, headers, high flow cats, and, flowmaster cat back kit (American Thunder). It ran decent, but when I installed the nitrous and set it up for just 75hp, it really started to break loose. You would think I was running 400 hp the way the rear end was comming around. Of cours I was probably still under 280 or so. The rear would even start to come around in third gear at 60 mph if I floored it.
Last night I installed the cheap set of Summit upper and lower rear control arms. I just took it out for a spin and can't believe how much sure footed it is. Doesn't even seem like the same car. It also seems to handle better. I'm sure the stiff bushings and tubular arms are much stiffer than stock.
I just bought a new rack and pinion, outter tie rods front sway bar bushings, power steering pump and hooses. Should I invest in a lower tubular control arm or just put new bushings in my current stock lower conrol arm. Also, is I switch to a tubular control arm, do I need to invest in sprints that mount on my struts or is there one made that will actually use my stock springs? I'm trying to get a tight street suspension without to much jaring.
