Another wheel question...
Hey guys,
I just read that the 17x9's with 245/45's on them will not fit under the fender on my '93 gt... and looking at it (my project is almost done!) and I don't think they will either. I know a few of you like primetime have similar wheels. I'm putting a 1.25" drop on the front also, does anyone with this setup rub on the outside of the fenders while turning or hitting a bump? I'm almost done and this is like the last straw after 500000 things went wrong... (I'll explain in a couple days).
If they won't fit, does ANYONE know if they make a 17x8 2003 Cobra wheel? I've been looking but I can't find squat ANYWHERE.
Thanks guys.

RE: Another wheel question...
To tell you the truth, my friend that's been helping me do the work read it somewhere. I know the backs JUST clear (if they do... maybe by 1-2mm if that, but I don't have to beat the pipes either, which is odd- but I'm running the SN95 axles now).
The fronts LOOK like they're gonna be sticking out but we're gonna finally drop the car tomorrow... still waiting on the e-brake lines and a 3-2 conversion from MM for my master cylinder... we have pics.
Dude, you've been a massive help thru this, but I can't help but to think maybe the first or 2nd owner flared your fenders possibly?

RE: Another wheel question...
LOL man I've been tripping out the whole time... I've had nothing but problem after problem (always what happens with used gear).
I've had to learn how to flare brake lines (still hope they work.... haven't tested them yet), been scrap-searching at yards... I had to custom-make an entire rear-axle brakeline & clip system... couldn't get my h&R progressive springs into the damn lower control arms (didn't have the ford compressor- took 2 days for the fronts)... last night I was tightening the wilwood adjustable-prop valve and one of the damn fittings totally tweaked into an oval (rebent it with a vise grip and somehow threaded in the brake line... hope it made a seal...).
I also found out the kit I got from Ebay came from a 95 v6 mustang (matched the serials on the prop valve and the lines were duplicates), and alot of other bad crap happened lol. We're almost home... I just have to hope the stupid FMS plug I bought isn't defective like every single one they've sold for a year (I'm sure it is) then, since it is, I'm gonna have to totally disconnect the stock prop-valve and bypass it completely somehow... then I'll be home scott free if the flares I made are good and the tires don't rub.
It's been a REALLY long week lol... but the car is gonna rock if it ever gets running again.
*EDIT* Oh yeah- I'm also running SN spindles... which might also be a problem... I think they widen the track width...

Hey man, don't think I'm knockin' those wheels... they're awesome wheels. My problem is that I blew every penny I have on the setup I just got... and those '03 cobra's are oh-so-killer...
Primetime- you sure the SN spindles will keep the same width? I hope you're right, man.... oh God I hope you're right... I've just been having all kinds of nightmares with this project... so many headaches and so much heartache... and I'm expecting this FMS plug to be the wrong size like the batch they discontinued about a year ago.
How much do you want for them again? And what would shipping cost to Los Angeles? (how fast can you get them here?)
