Offtopic? yes, but it's a good way to get some responses and my subject title isn't lieing...
REAL QUESTION:
I have 17X9 Cobra R Wheels, I need all 4 new tires, want to lower car 1", I choose Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 tires. What size should I go with, I was thinking:
FRONT: 245/40/R17 (lower profile to avoid rubbing as much as possible?) [&:]
REAR: 255/45/R17 (quad shocks will be removed)
Are 275/45/R17's too big for a 17X9 Rim? I know that I'd need to roll the inner fender lip for thst size but I think they'd look sick!
Thanks in advance! [sm=burnout.gif]

Oh god.. i love wheel threads...
go with a 275/40/17 in back, itll keep your speedo as close to stock as possible
17x9 wheels are always tough on foxes.... but everyone here knows the 94-97 cobra (not cobra R) wheels look the BEST on fixes
good way to get attention. lol.
the only thing i can contribute to your thread (other than a bump) is that 17x9 should be fine with the 275/45/17. i had that set up on the front of my "clone" typhoon, and 315/40/17 on 17x11 corvette wheels on the rear. with no fender modifications, it did rub at full steering lock.
