so while i'm taking apart everything to replace the head gaskets i figured i could take a little off not much but just to help it out a little.

what do yall think? good idea... no?

There is another tech article on this in the stickies I think.... Anyway, if you have some spare time why not, as long as it doesnt cost you anything.

If not an actual full porting job, then at least polishing the ports and combustion chamber would give you some improvement.

If you plan to do it with an electric rotary, get one with relatively low vibration speed. Otherwise you'll find yourself with very achey hands.

i'm kinda too scared that i'll screw something up if i do a full prot job so i just wanted to do a little. but anything would be better than those e7 heads[:'(]

just a little something something till i can save money for those new heads

If you mess them up, they are stock heads. You can pick them up anywhere for $50 bucks.

that's true... there's a junkyard here with plenty of foxes you have to take the parts off yourself but they're cheap

but its easy to get parts off yourself at the junkyard because you dont have to be careful with other things, bag bolts, etc. if sh*ts in your way just rip it out, etc lol the junkyard is very stress relieving

I did mine...probably put 15-20 hrs into them altogether, but I'm no pro, so I went at it slowly. The main thing is to grind down the thermactor bumps in the exh. ports. That will help a LOT. I could tell a decent difference in mine, but not a huge difference.
