let it cool down for a good long time, go out and drive it and see how it feels then. Were you at the drag strip or like a road course?

I'm no clutch expert, but maybe it's just really hot. Run it in the morning and see how it feels, you might have burnt it up. Has the clutch ever been replaced? Is it the stock clutch?

it sounds like its not engaging properly. if you can just let it out at a standstill and not stall as well as smell a funny burnt odor - it is cooking and not grabbing the flywheel. Many things can cause this. You could have a worn out pressure plate, the nose on your input shaft may be extremely gawled up and keeping the throwout bearing from returning.....I don't think you have an issue with the cable if I understand the situation properly. If the cable were binding or stretching, you would have an issue with disengagement. Perhaps if you write a more descriptive example of your problems, I/we could give some better advice.

it's most likely either hot to the point that it "shears" the clutch when you try to engage it or it's "glazed" from the launches (it you feather your clutch instead of dumping) let it cool down over night if that doesn't help then go to a parking lot and spend about and hour taking off and stoping (hopefully you can get it to "unglaze"

not a clutch expert but thats what happend to my stock one (couldn't save it by the way)
