Default Cutting out and rough idle

I just got my 306 dropped down in my 88 gt 5spd. I know it's speed density and we put a mass air on it and a computer for mass air. but my problem is that it wants to cut out sometimes under throttle but sometimes it runs fine. Another thing is that i've heard when ever you put a new computer in a car it takes it so long for the computer to reset itself. Any ideas on what i should do?

ask the computer what it thinks first.

You may have to drill a small hole in your throttle body plate mid section to smooth it out some
