Default Squeaking coming from dash

I just have a question if this has ever happened to you,? In the mornign when it is cold and you go your first 5-10 minutes if you ever got a squeaking noise coming from the dash. I'm pretty sure its comin from the speedometer, but idk? Any ideas?

are you goin slow or fast? does the speedo jump. if it is then you need to lube the cable and prolly replace the speedo gear.

It really doesn't matter how fast im going, it almost seems to get louder as i go faster, but when the engine is warmed up it goes away, like i said its for the first 5-10 mins.

Yea i might just have to live with it during the winter and forget about it in the summer. But i did hear one thing that it may be since the speedo gear is plastic, that just might be the case and i have to relube it or something. Idk but thanks anyways

The cable needs to be lubed. it's no big deal to do.

Yea, i might try that, but there is a cupple of other things i want to do this winter. I just havent decided if i want to do interior like gauges and seats, or small stuff to the engine. Being that it is my first car, im sure my dad would much rather interior, but i don't know.
