Default What would you do?

Well as I've said in an earlier thread I'm coming into some money before xmas. Obviously my bills are first priority, but other than that I was thinking of putting some money into the stang.

I have an 89' vert that needs some body work: door hinges, trunk hinges, rehospolstrey, repaint, weather stripping, and of course some engine mods (I know exactly what I want to get) with the only thing not having experience in is the paint. The mods I want to get are about 8-9k including body work and paint. The car is completely stock. I also have most of the parts to restore the body, just had no time to do it lately.

I recently saw a 90 mustang HB GT that is for sale with a vortech supercharger and a trickflow h/c/i setup for about 7k. Keeping in mind the body is straight, brand new paint, and brand new upholstery. For what it is I think its an awesome deal. The owner states that there are no problems with it and there are no leaks.

Should I go for the already built one and just add what I want to add on it? Or should I just spend the time and sweat into making my own (which I love the idea of).

I love working on my car but my car is going to be MIA for several months while I try to work on it, which is my dd. I would also love to work and do everything myself however I just don't have the time to commit to such a big project, unless if its over a span of time.

What would you do in this situation?

Thanks again for any insite!

Go with the complete 1.
Projects then to take a little longer than expected.
If you got that much ca$h you could get a really nice foxbody.

+1, I would also just buy the other fox and either sell you other stang or mod it a little here and there, either way you still have 1 car to always drive.

+1, I'd also get teh already built one. Then in what free time you have to work on cars, prep your other car for paint (body work, hinges, etc). And as far as painting your car, have a pro do it, itll be worth the money especially if you have little to no experience painting.

I'm jumping on the band wagon here, go with the built one, you've already said you don't have time and certain skills to complete your build, which wil mean spending more money than anticipated and some disappointment. Why's the sellers ditching such a nice car?

+1 and mods always cost a lot more than you think. The paint alone will be a pretty penny and I absolutely wouldn't try this myself.
