wtf?

RE: wtf?
IAT inaccuracies will NOT force open loop operation. Even if the PCM thinks it is below freezing all the time. You shouldn't need PCM cal numbers unless the part had at one point been updated. I would have to have a specific example to specify. You are in open loop drive under WOT so disconnecting your oxygen sensors won't help you under those conditions. There is no point in forcing your vehicle into open loop for performance reasons.

What? The only way to reset these corrections is to reprogram the PCM or clear KAM. The strategies are continuously adjusted during Closed Loop driving only. Open Loop operation is when the PCM just gives up and runs off the base table. There are situations like Open Loop Drive like under WOT, if you have a cat over temp condition, KOER self test, OBDII monitor initiation, that sort of thing. Open Loop Fault is what you go into when you disconnect your oxygen sensors. Closed Loop fault will happen if you only disconnect one of your oxygen sensors becuase the PCM then uses the feedback from the working sensor to fuel both banks.

And if your a ford engineer, then WTF does ford trucks need so many different shocks for the same models? Why Do I need a calibration code to order a IAC, TPS or any other multitude of sensors from the same models? How many different fron tdriveshafts does a F350 have?
And don't get me started on U-joints....
