Can you reprogram a 4cylinder computer to work for a 5.0???

It was just an idea because I may be picking up a 93 notch with a 4cyc. I know that you can reprogram a chevy computer to go from a V6 to a V8 so I was just wondering.

just go to autozone or someplace like that. you can get a reman a9l or a9p for 99 bucks if i remember correctly.

I have heard of folks using a v6 for a v8, but I cannot say how well the car ran. LOL

A 4 cyl computer is completely different from a v8 though.

In fact most tuning programs have not cracked the 4 cyl program on the n/a cars.

As far as I know there is no way to tune a 2.3L computer from an n/a Mustang.
