within the next couple of months i would like to do an engine swap but am unsure about a engine swap or ? i have a 89 Lx 302. i have 175007 miles on the engine and need to take it out to pasture. i want HP, i want HP, did i mention i want HP. should i throw a 351w in, or stay with a 302. i only got about 5,000 to spend and need some insight?

 

5 Gs eh? I think you could build a mean 347 stroker for that.

 

For 5 grand a good, poerful 351W isn't out of the question. Are you going to drive the car daily or make a racer out of it? If it's going to be be a daily driver I'd think about one of the crate motors from Ford....
