Default Headers Installation question

Ok so i have bbk shorty equal length headers and im installing them on a 1995 mustang gt. after i got the old headers out and put in the passenger side one i started on the drive side one. so to slide it up easy i took of the steering shaft and after we got the bolts on and the header all in place we go to put the steering shaft back on and it won't the header sticks down to far. has this ever happend to any one else how did you get the steering shaft on or did summit racing send me the wrong header???

Well you can try replacing your mm's or you can shim the d/s to clear it. That's what I did, no issues.

do i have to get new motor mounts for both sides or just the left side. I ask that because i called autozone and they only have the left side one.
