Default Idle

Just wondering if anyone has had this problem or knows what it could be. I installed a short belt to bypass the smog pump/ac and I also fixed a worn vacuum hose. When I start the car it will rev up and down for a little then go to normal, it does not do it all the time. Today I did not let it finish the reving up and down before I moved the car and it started doing it again and the car died. Tried to start and it eventually started up went to the movies running like a dream and back home.. Any Ideas?

Clean off your mass air flow sensor wire, it may be dirty.
I sprayed some eletronics cleaner on mine at that did the trick.
It's a fragile wire so be careful not to snap it.

That has IAC written all over it. Clean the IAC. My GT (auto) used to die when changing gears, P to D and sometimes died when paralleling too. Just spray the IAC full and dump it out with carb/brak cleaner and slap it on and hopefully it fixes it.
