well i wanna know if my stang is a fox its in my sig and did they make any late 80's stangs not fox and how do u detrmine if its a fox body?
what do you perfer a hatchback or a coupe for a mustang and y?

Your car is a Foxbodied- car. They ran from 82 (i think) to 93. It is just the body style. Most people prefer the notchback because it is lighter and more rigid than the hatch, but that is if you want performance. If you are basing your opinion on looks, then go with whatever you prefer.

They had one in the eighty's that was very similar to the fox called a Capri (made by Mercury).

The Fox platform started in the late 1970's with the Fairmont. Technically, all Mustangs made from 1979 through 2004 were based on the Fox architecture, though typically, 79-93 are referred to as Fox body. Other Fox platform cars include Fairmont, some T-birds, later Granada's, the mid-sized LTD's, Mustangs, Capris, Zephyrs, Cougars, and mid-sized Marquis, all produced during the 80's.

This here is a great book to learn some facts about our cars. Great reading from a source that actually knows something.

I like the looks of the coupe the best but I couldnt find one cheap enough so I bought a hatchback.
