ok ever since i put that Mr gasket performance 180 thermo in sheila shes been running too damn cold all the time. the temp shows me at 160-165 and sometimes can get down to 155. what the hell is going on should i get some headers and let some heat dissipate back into the engine bay?

mine runs below the 2nd notch and sometimes just above the first notch above the 130 mark. the thermo is a 180 or so the package claimed, i hope this wont hurt my engine.

well I would put it back out I know it's a pain..put it in a pot of hot water if it isn't stamped on it and used a therometer to see when it opens..it could have been mispackaged it the car running rich or using alot of gas?

each notch is 30 degrees (dont count the red notches, only the whit ones) so right in the middle is 220*...in other words, it goes (at least mine does): 130(right about the red), 160,190,220(the middle),250,280(right below the red)

It might in the long run as the computer controlled cars are designed to run hotter for more efficient combustion and emissions reasons. Running a lower temp stat and icing the intake down is OK for a single banzai pass at the strip, but in the long run the car will run better with the stock thermostat setting long term.
And get a good aftermarket temp gauge with numbers on it and forget the stock one!
