Default Quick advice

I am building a 1968 motor to go into my 1990 mustang...
I machined cleaned and ported the original heads but; are they enough?
I am looking for a okay amount of horsepower and maybe one day boost it...
It IS gonna be carbureated.

did you do a valve job? From what Ive seen, it costs almost as much to do a valve job on stock heads as getting a nice set of used aluminum heads...I wouldnt use em.

Well then, for the money, you may have yourself a nice set of heads...if you did a good job on them.

I did a full valve job, new springs and valve seats, milled the heads to up the compression a bit and unwarp them from any damages, ported and polished(which i had someone do for me @ the shop) with the extra equipment just laying around......

The guy that runs the shop over there told me that if anyone in the charlotte area wants to come and pick up their old used port+polish stuff; its for sale =)
