So that means the yoke that fits doesn't nescessarily mean that it is "the right yoke" for my driveshaft? Cause when I was installing the T5 I read on the internet that the driveshaft would be able to used from a stock AOD...unfortunatily I found that the yoke didn't match with either the u joint or spline count...What if i was to purchase an Aluminum Driveshaft from FRPP? Different driveshaft for a T5 instead of having my stock driveshaft with a T5 yoke? Just a thought randomly thrown in the wind...thoughts?
Thanks for stopping by and dropping some advise, bro!
that frpp aluminium is whats in mine and i have no problems. you just answered your question. it does need to match up on spline both ways. it may fit just not right and its just loose enough to where when its up high its sloppy. a little bit gets worse and worse on top end. see what im saying. i would watch it until its right, you dont wanna spit the driveshaft.
one other thing a bad or worn tranny mount might do that also, what i mean is if the rubber is worn to where the tranny can move that might do it also. mine needs changing and it bumps around at high speeds.

I went with a high energy trans mount, so i'm sure on that part of the car is just fine. I would like to buy that FRPP driveshaft after I've saved a few more pennies. But for now i'll have to make due with it and double check under the car.
Thanks again much for the help!
no problem, just remember to when you hammer down on it you increase chances of spit out too so be careful or you will be spending more money. or worse you might yourself or the car. its never a bad idea either once you setup the new or for now to put a driveshaft safety loop on . that way if it spits it dont destroy anything the loop will hold it there. i have one just for that reason.

thanks much iceman, nice ride by the way. That's a sweet color blue on your 'stang. Custom?
yea, its a blue with metal flake and 4 clear coats. your doing it right though, one step at a time and no corner cutting. just remember you need to mod the car suspension and such as the motor gets moded or she wont handle it. you can go to the post on 1/8 mile runs i put up and scroll down till you see a link of my car running if ya wanna see it run. its a 306 all motor with a t-5 tranny. thanks for the compliments bro
I had a bad vibration and it was one of the bolts that hold the crossmember to the tranny had fallen out and the other was loose. When I posted about my problem someone told me to unbolt the driveshaft and rotate it 90 deg. and bolt it back up. Some sort of balancing issue at the rearend. It might be worth a try and it will only cost you time. Check those mounting bolts also.
Good luck,
Roger

i am in the process of converting to a T-5 and the instructions i have say to get a T-5 crossmember because the aod one won't work and it'll need to be modified. just wondering if you got a T-5 crossmember because a few people on here tried to use their aod crossmember and they have huge vibrations.
