well i found the 351 for my stang. its a 1995(roller) out of a f250. it has 109000 no major problems for $300. i just want to know what to look for when i go pick it up? any probs that i can see on the outside? any advice would be great.

 

well it will most likely need a rebuild anyway ( u would be stupid not too) and the only other things u might wanna look for is rust and any major holes or dents or outer wair of any kind if its clean on the outside for the most part u gotta good buy, but u will def need to rebuild it

magnaflux the block for cracks as well...you just never know....

 

i second that lion on the magna flux or mag particle. when its cleaned and ready for prep i like to penetrant test them also, it has to be cleaned fairly bwell though.

 

whats magna flux?where to get it? and i have to do this when i strip everything off the block?

haha anyone live in nh and want to help a brother out? ill prolly get the engine this weekend but i dont have a truck or engine hoist and not sure where im goin to put it for now. . .do you think if its outside over winter but covered really good would it hurt the motor?

 

moisture in the air will rust out every surface on it. better off in your basement with a de-humidifier
