Default Heads for 347 Stroker

I am currently building a 347 stroker to run on the street, possible Sundays at the local strip. My issue is heads. I am new to 5.0 builds so I am not in the know. I am also on a budget. My question centers around head and intake options. I am looking for a short term, cost effective head solution. It appears that the 351 2bbl head has the valve size that I am lookkng for. However, I also believe that I will have intake manifold issues to consider. I plan to run 2 x 4bbl intake. Now I know, a low cost head schem with dual 4's???? Please keep in mind that this is a short term soultion so I can get the 347 transplanted into my '89. Long term as $$$ allow I will get the ultimate set of heads. With saying all of that I want to make sure that I select a head / intake solution where once I go to a better head I will not have wasted my $$$ on an intake that will no longer work. Any thoughts?

GT40 or P heads would be a good/cheap interim solution. You can even massage them a little w/a Dremel..... You're best bet in the long run would be TW's or AFR 185's.....

I wouldn't go GT40P's, you'll need new headers because of spark plug angle, best would be AFR 165's unless you plan on going forced induction in which case 185's would be better. GT40's are a great budget buy, but twisted wedge heads would be my choice. For somegood heads #'sclick here! GL[8D]

Do what you want. Short term heads, just buy some salvage yard p.o.s.and dremel all you can. You ain't going to have them long anyways. Put 250hp nos kit on and have fun. (for a shot term anyways)

Why even build a 347 if your going to put garbage heads on it............ waste of money. 302 parts will make 302 power. Good Luck!

I'd be real careful buying heads.
In this day & age we live in, you can get too much cylinder head just like you can get too much cam.
I'll bet there are at least 100 differant heads for the SBF out there right now.......
