Default funny clutch

I put a used tranny in it only had 12,000 miles on it in yesterday.I also had to replace my clutch cable again, this cable was the same lenth as the one I pulled out.
My problem is mow I only push my clutch down 2 inches and it is fully engaged anythig past thet length its soft. befor(old cable)I had to push it half way down to get it to engage.
What Happened Or What Did I Do Wrong?

It is a King Cobra clutch, and stock cable.

Thank you,
William

Yeah, you might wanna consider gettingan aftermarket clutch cable/quadrant/&firewall adjuster b/c you have a aftermarket clutch, and the stock cable might now work the best. Hope you figure it out.

Did you use the self adjuster? Pull up on the clutch pedal until it clicks, this is the self adjuster. Itll automatically slacken the clutch cable for you. You might hear a loud pop you might not. I have run several super heavy duty clutches with my stock quadrant on several cars and never had a problem. In fact they worked so well, wound up getting spider cracks in 2 flywheels big enough to see light through. Aftermarket quadrants are for people that cant figure out how to use the stock one[8D].
