engine question

ok, just redid all the gaskets from the head gaskets up. question is... is there a break in period? how long should i be nice to it untill i can run it hard again??

just make sure that if a gasket seal was used it has a good couple of hours past its cure time to set in then run the guts out of it. lol lol

yea, its gonna sit over night.. i literally just got done. need to go out tm in my moms car and pick up a timing light, she runs right now, but is real rough at idle, we could time our tahoe by sound, but this car... nope, lol. so ima have to get a timing light tomorrow, and a new radiator hose... so its gonna sit till 4pm tomorrow at the sooneset.

What's up, Dime? I'd just drive it how you want for a couple of cooldown cycles, and then retorque everything that's easy to get to.

not much...got the car runnin, kinda feels good to know that i tore it all apart and i put it all back together and it works, lol. and hey u show me one bolt thats easy to get to, lol.

we only used a liquid sealer for the lower intake, in the corners and to hold the rubber down to the block. i forget the cure time.

No kidding...I'd hate to have to get at any of those bolts. And I might be partially talking from down low, but I remember always having to retorque head bolts on bikes a few hundred miles after putting heads on. I have no idea whether that's necessary on 5.0s. Iceman seems to agree, but let's wait until the experts chime in. And nice job on doing the work.
