We'll first thing i'd do is try to birp the system, maybe an air bubble causing a bad reading. Next look into a new tstat (180*) DO NOT leave the tstat out. The car needs to run at around 190-210*. While changing the tstat do a flush n fill with new coolant and verify the 50/50mixture with a tester. Birp the system real well and test drive. Chances are the tstat is shot.... thats why i'd recomend a failsafe brand from autozone. Good Luck and don't drive the car with the temp that high!

the tsat is new and i buped the system as i put new coolant in, the thing i thought was that since its cold there should be more coolant in there, but the tstat is 180 and its new, do u think that there might be too much sealant in the hose that may be cloggin it up

the sealant in the hose where the new tstat went

more coolant in the winter isn't better... you need 50/50 mix , what do you mean by sealant in the hose?
