Default 3g alt conversion!

im very close to finishing the installation and im a little confused about where the thick 4 awg wire goes. is it ground or power? is it best to put it on the battery or the starter solenoid? oh and where exactly is the starter solenoid? thanks

Wire from the lug side of the alternator to the positive terminal on the solenoid on the driver side fender well. Adda 175A ANL or AGU styleaudio fuse in series to protect againstshorts.

what does the solenoid look like and where exactly is it because i had it confused with the starter relay.

It is between the strut tower and the battery, in front of the coil.

DON'T put power to the starter side!!!

You also need to upgrade your main grounds.

run a 4g cable in addition to the factory negative cable to the same location on the block
next to oil press. sending unit.
then run a 4g cable from the other side of the block using an exsisting bolt hole behind the smog pump
to the frame rail on the passngr side, right next to fuel vapor canister.

make sure all areas are cleaned to nice bare metal.

it goes on the same terminal the positive battery cable is attached to, on the solenoid.
