Default G-Force T-5!

So I just bought a G-Force T-5 kit! Just thought I would let you all know! Can't wait to get my new shifter, clutch, and tranny in! I'll update this when I get it put back in and running and give you the lowdown on how it went.

I dont know if Len agrees with me, but with a brand new transmission, I would probably break it in much like a new engine... Change the fluid after like 500-1000 miles to flush out any particles that might break loose during break-in

yea keith i agree, change the fluid between 500-1000 miles, and then again at 3000...use non synthetic oil for the first 3000 miles, after that use synthetic...

i'm going to try a different kind of fluid and i'll let you guys know how i like it

Ford reccomends auto tranny fluid for the T5. Do they make a synthetic auto tranny fluid? I have only heard of ATF (mopar) Mercon (Ford) and Dexron (GM). And then the crap that imports use. Honda or Toyota or whatever brands.

Oh i see. Do you think if I tried that in my T5 it would quiet it down at all? I heard synthetic oil does magical things.

probably not... your more than likely getting a bit of bearing whine. Some trannies will whine forever, some will give out the next day.

Rebuild it with DDperformance upgrade parts, or go G-force... remember to get all new bearings. 1st and 3rd usually whine the most

i agree with adder there prolly is bearing bear, but synthetic fluid will help slow down any damage that is already there from getting worse
