The EGR code doesn't necessarily mean you have a bad position sensor. You could have the vacuum line disconnected or something simple like that. A vac leak to the EGR would also make it run lean. What exact codes did you get. There is more than one oxygen sensor lean code. From one of your other comments I assume you got codes for both?
