Default Quick question

I am out in the garage and i am rebuilding a 302 block and like there is so much carbon buid up and rust on the cyl walls and i was wondering if there is something i can use besides my hone to clean it up ( like a engine degreaser or something )

of course i have a hone but i dont wanna use it yet since itwill just dull the sand

strip the block bare, on a clean white tile or paper(car board, sit all the parts in the correct order.

take the block to your local machine shop or delaership and have it hot tanked, its free or extremely cheap.

what kind of build you doing?

if no on the shops oven cleaner worked great for me and sos pads
