well i need it done fast because the cops came and wrote down the info from the car and its not insured and its a law in arizona that it has to be insured and i dont want it towed before i can sell it, and i honestly dont think i can do it without breaking something i just pulled the engine and tranny out of my 88 and broke the harmonic balancer and shift cable but breaking things is a good opportunity for upgrades

Remove the starter. Remove the mid pipe. Loosen the tranny crossmember bolts. Remove the 6 bolts that attach the bell to the block. Put a jack under the tranny and pull the crossmember bolts. Back it up slowly as you lower it and it's out. Reverse to install new tranny. (replace TO and pilot bearing and possibly clutch/fork so you don't have to do it later!!!!!!!)
