MAF (f3vf-12b579-aa afh80-01) Searching i found this is from a lincoln mark VII 93-95 with #24 injectors 80mm. The plug connectoris the same as mine 89 lx 5.0 and was originally told it was from a cobra, and just needed to adapt the flange to my air inlet hose. I am going to try and make this work. There is really nothing in the ford maf to tell it injector size, it is in my computer right, so im thinking my #19 stock set-up will be just fine, other than overkill on size of the housing.

 

wrong. the MAF is calibrated for the injectors via the sample tube.

 

Anymore info please, I have read that the computer knows the size of injectors and getting aftermarket mafs and messing with sampling tubes just tries to fool the computer. So i thought getting a cobra maf would work just fine. There is a lot of bad information on maf's and i see it all the time uncorrected, any help is appreciated.

the mark VIII maf will not work properly with the A9* computers in a fox. Look for a 70mm maf from a 94-95 stang... 5.0 and 3.8 will both work

 

this is actually the correct info.
the 93 cobra computer, along with the 94-95 j4j1 computer were tuned to run 24# injectors. The MAF on a 1994-1995 cobra in interchaneable with a MAF from a 1994-1995 GT. the size of the injectors doesnt matter, the stock "calibration" is in the computer

Ok so i bought a cobra #24 maf that should work and got a mark VII maf that wont work with my computer thx.

STOCK MAF'S DONT CONTROL INJECTOR SIZE!!!

aftermarket maf's are tuned to "lie" to the computer so that you can run a larger injector without the computer knowing any different

a 1994-1995 maf from a mustang will work with your 19# injectors, because thats what your computer is tuned to use.. even the Cobra maf... will still work with your stock injectors, because the cobra in tuned with a special computer that has different internal values for the 24# injectors
